Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 18, 2026
SANI AI ("SANI," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and dignity of patients and the security of clinical data. This Privacy Policy outlines our "Privacy-by-Design" architecture and how we handle information within the SANI Guardian Platform.
1. Our Privacy Philosophy: The Invisible Guardian
SANI is built on the fundamental belief that clinical safety should never come at the cost of personal privacy. Unlike traditional monitoring systems that rely on invasive cameras or wearables, the SANI platform utilizes a Multi-Modal Sensor Array to detect physiological patterns without capturing identifiable imagery or recording conversations.
2. Data Collection and Processing
We process data solely for the purpose of providing Clinical Decision Support (CDS).
Non-Optical Sensing: SANI utilizes advanced spatial sensors to detect motion, presence, and activity. This data is processed as anonymized spatial metadata and does not contain photographic or video imagery.
Edge Processing Architecture: Our "Sensor Fusion" technology processes raw environmental signals locally on the hardware node. This ensures that only relevant clinical alerts—not raw data streams—are transmitted to the cloud.
Anonymized Biomarkers: We collect de-identified biomarkers to power our predictive clinical logic.
3. HIPAA and Regulatory Compliance
SANI is designed to be fully compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the HITECH Act.
Data Encryption: All data transmitted between the Sensor Node and our secure servers utilizes industry-standard AES-256 encryption.
No PII Storage in Sensor Logic: SANI does not store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) within its primary detection engine. Patient identity is managed via secure, encrypted tokens integrated with the facility’s EMR Gateway.
4. Data Usage and Disclosure
Information gathered by SANI is used exclusively to:
Identify precursors of clinical deterioration.
Provide proactive risk stratification to authorized clinical staff.
Improve the sensitivity and specificity of our proprietary clinical logic.
We do not sell, rent, or trade patient data to third parties.
5. Security and Oversight
Our architecture utilizes a Distributed Intelligence model. By processing sensitive signals at the "Edge" (on the device itself), we minimize the data footprint and eliminate the risks associated with centralized data storage.
6. Illinois State Compliance
As a company headquartered in the State of Illinois, SANI adheres to specific state mandates regarding data privacy.
Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) Statement:
SANI utilizes sensors to detect physiological anomalies (e.g., gait instability or respiratory effort). We do not collect, capture, purchase, or store "Biometric Identifiers" (such as retina/iris scans, fingerprints, voiceprints, or scans of hand/face geometry) or "Biometric Information" capable of identifying a specific individual, as defined by the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (740 ILCS 14/). All sensor data is anonymized and used strictly for clinical assessment, not for personal identification.
Illinois Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA):
In compliance with 815 ILCS 530/, SANI maintains reasonable security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access, acquisition, destruction, use, modification, or disclosure. In the unlikely event of a data breach, SANI will adhere to all notification requirements mandated by Illinois law.
